Established in 1993, Skilltrack Limited, is an RYA accredited training organisation based in Rochester, Kent, offering marine and rescue skills to three marine sectors: leisure marine, commercial marine and emergency services.
All of our instructors are recognised for their knowledge, expertise and wide range of experience. We endeavour to ensure that our students are treated as individuals and achieve their goals in a friendly and supportive environment.
All of our courses are accredited by the Royal
Yachting Association (RYA) or the Open College Network South East Region (OCNSER) and can be delivered on or off-site. We also offer the new RYA Online Essential Navigation and Seamanship course via the RYA Interactive distance learning website.
JULIET WARD (MBA) – Principal
As a professional manager Juliet holds an MBA from Cass Business School and geography degree from Manchester University. She has worked for a number of blue chip organisations and for the past 15 years has been involved in education management with an up to date understanding of work based learning and accreditation.
Juliet has a long standing interest in riparian activities. She holds a number of RYA qualifications and is an experienced sailor.
MIKE GOODWIN – Senior Instructor
Mike has over twenty years’ experience in all aspects of marine training, leisure, commercial and the rescue services. Mike holds the following marine qualifications:
• Yachtmaster Instructor (power) with a commercial endorsement
• DSC/VHF Instructor and Assessor
• Powerboat Instructor
• Basic Sea survival Instructor
• European Boat master’s Licence
• Powerboat Trainer
• Advanced Powerboat Examiner
• RADAR Instructor
Mike has trained using all forms of propulsion and specialises in jet drives.
